China reports 124 new Covid-19 cases, workers rush to complete quarantine sites

China confirmed 124 new Covid-19 cases on January 24, 2020. About half of the cases reported were identified in Jilin province. Beijing has reported 3 cases and one confirmed case in Shanghai. With an emerging number of Covid-19 cases, workers have ramped up efforts to build quarantine sites. At least 126 isolation centres have begun to operate in Heilongjiang’s Suihua city while in Hebei, a total of 2,600 isolation rooms have been put into operation.
